Dive-site story
Situated along the exposed outer edge of Norman Reef on the outer Great Barrier Reef, The Wild Side faces the open Coral Sea. The underwater landscape features steep coral walls, coral-covered spur-and-groove formations, and massive isolated bommies rising from deeper water. Because of its seaward exposure, the site frequently catches prevailing oceanic currents, attracting pelagic fish, cruising reef sharks, and grazing sea turtles.
