Dive-site story
Constructed inside the Gold Coast Broadwater to protect the western foreshore, Wave Break Island is a hub for training dives and relaxed shallow exploration. The north wall drops along rock rubble onto sand flats where large numbers of fish congregate. Timing dives around the high slack tide provides the clearest water before the tidal flow changes.
