Dive-site story
The Jane Sea is a Venezuelan cargo freighter that was deliberately scuttled on the reef slope south of Barcadera Harbor to establish an artificial reef. Sitting upright on the seabed surrounded by coral formations, the vessel has become heavily encrusted with star coral, brain coral, and large tube sponges. Divers can explore the exterior cargo holds, wheelhouse, and deck fittings while watching pelagics drift past in the surrounding blue.

Heavy sponge and coral growth colonizing the superstructure and masts
