Dive-site story
Located within the marine park off the western coast of Sint Eustatius, Mushroom Garden takes its name from massive boulder and star corals whose bases have been undercut over centuries, forming distinctive mushroom-shaped pillars. These coral heads rise from a volcanic seafloor interspersed with sand corridors. Divers weave around the formations while checking shadowed overhangs for resting nurse sharks, banded coral shrimp, and sheltering spiny lobsters.
