Dive-site story
Located near the southern tip of Fernando de Noronha, Caverna da Sapata features a massive underwater cavern carved directly into the volcanic rock cliffs. Divers descend along a dramatic wall to reach the cavern entrance, where clear oceanic waters reveal resident stingrays and resting nurse sharks on the sandy floor. Outside the cavern, pelagic fish patrol the blue while green turtles feed along the surrounding sponge-encrusted reef.
