Dive-site story
Resting upright in clear waters off Fernando de Noronha, the Brazilian Navy corvette Corveta Ipiranga V17 sank in 1983 after striking a submerged reef. It remains one of the world's most intact deep shipwrecks, preserved down to its deck fixtures, guns, and intact wheelhouse structure. Given the extreme bottom depths, this is strictly a technical profile requiring precise gas management, decompression planning, and experienced boat support.
