Dive-site story
Located off the sheltered western side of Ilha do Arvoredo within the marine biological reserve, Parcel do Engenho consists of submerged granite rock piles resting on a sandy seafloor. The topography features fissures, overhangs, and swim-throughs formed by tumbled boulders, creating shelter for diverse subtropical Atlantic marine life. Because the bay is partially shielded from open ocean swell, it serves as a frequent site for diver training as well as relaxed navigation through rocky channels.
