Dive-site story
Situated along the shores of Lake Lucerne near Weggis, Elefäntli provides direct shore access to one of the region's classic alpine lake wall dives. Divers descend over a brief gravel slope before encountering a dramatic, near-vertical rock face dropping straight into the darker depths of the lake. The site requires good buoyancy control because the shelf drops away rapidly without a bottom plateau to arrest an uncontrolled descent.
Steep submerged rock wall featuring crevices and overhangs
Excellent winter clarity characteristic of deep pre-alpine lakes
Readily accessible shore entry points along the lake road
