Dive-site story
Playa Piscado, also known as Playa Grandi, is an active fishing beach situated near the northern tip of Curaçao. Local fishermen cleaning their daily catch near the wooden pier have created a reliable gathering place for sea turtles in the shallows. Beyond the sandy shallows where turtles graze on scraps, a gentle swim leads to a healthy sloping reef wall featuring a submerged statue of King Neptune resting on the seabed.
Nearly guaranteed encounters with feeding sea turtles right off the pier
Submerged statue of King Neptune anchored along the reef edge
Gentle reef slope covered in hard corals, sponges, and schooling reef fish
