Dive-site story
Located along the rugged northwestern coast of Curaçao, Sponge Forest is an offshore reef slope named for its dense concentrations of towering sponge formations. The drop-off is colonized by massive orange elephant ear sponges, enormous barrel sponges, and vibrant tube sponges that carpet the plunging terrain. Schools of creole wrasse and chromis flutter around the coral heads, while larger pelagic fish occasionally pass by out in the open blue.
