Dive-site story
Scuttled in the Ayia Napa Marine Protected Area to form an artificial reef, the Kyrenia wreck rests fully upright on a flat sandy seabed. The vessel was thoroughly cleaned and prepped before sinking, creating open swim-throughs across the deck and bridge area. Marine growth has established itself along the railings and hull, drawing schooling fish and solitary predators out from the nearby rocky shoreline.
