Dive-site story
Set along the eastern shore of Schermützelsee in the Märkische Schweiz nature park, this site is maintained as the primary entry point for the local dive club. Divers follow a shelving lakebed through thick littoral reed belts that give way to muddy slopes and sunken training platforms. Deeper sections feature distinct thermoclines and reduced ambient light, requiring good buoyancy control and a reliable primary light.
Underwater training platforms and marked navigation lines installed by the local club
Dense reed beds harbouring juvenile fish and predatory freshwater species
Steep glacial lake drop-offs descending into silt and clay basins

Seasonality
