Dive-site story
Situated along the northwest coast of Dominica near Cabrits National Park, Cannon Site combines coral reef exploration with maritime history. Historic eighteenth-century cannons lie encrusted in coral growth across a sloping seabed of hard corals, giant barrel sponges, and gorgonian fans. The area sheltered British and French naval vessels during colonial conflicts, leaving artifacts scattered among rocky outcrops and sandy patches.
