Dive-site story
Situated along the sheltered northwestern coast near Cabrits National Park, Shark's Mouth takes its name from an enormous barrel sponge whose wide opening resembles a shark with jaws agape. The dive follows a coral-encrusted slope into deep water, flanked by dense patches of gorgonians, deepwater sea fans, and volcanic boulders. Rich sponge growth dominates the seascape, offering habitat to macro critters and hiding spots for nocturnal predators.
