Dive-site story
Situated west of Ras Mohamed near the entrance to the Strait of Gubal, Alternatives consists of a series of coral pinnacles rising from a shallow, sunlit sandy seabed. Dive boats frequently use this sheltered reef system as a calm fallback mooring when wind and swells disrupt offshore sites. Divers can leisurely weave between individual ergs, exploring coral heads draped in soft corals and inspecting the surrounding sand for bottom dwellers.
