Dive-site story
Situated at the northern headland of the bay just outside Naama Bay, Far Garden features a dramatic underwater landscape consisting of a sloping reef wall adorned with massive coral pinnacles and overhangs. Divers often drift along the drop-off where giant gorgonian fan corals thrive before exploring shallower reef formations scattered across sandy shelves. The site transitions from a sheltered plateau to open-water corners where pelagic species occasionally cruise past in the blue.
Extensive gorgonian fan coral colonies decorating the deeper wall sections and drop-offs
Large coral towers and pinnacles that shelter dense glassfish aggregations
Frequent encounters with hawksbill turtles feeding among the soft corals
