Dive-site story
The Kimon M is a German cargo vessel that ran aground on the northern corner of Sha'ab Abu Nuhas in December 1978 while carrying a cargo of lentils. The ship eventually slipped down the reef slope, coming to rest on its starboard side. Divers usually explore the well-preserved stern section, propeller, and open cargo holds, where large quantities of hard corals and soft corals have colonized the steel plates.
