Shaab Sharm is a large, kidney-shaped offshore reef rising from the depths off the southern Egyptian coast. The eastern wall drops vertically into the open sea, while submerged plateaus flank the northern and southern tips. Exposed to open currents, the outer points attract pelagic cruisers alongside dense soft and hard coral formations.
