Dive-site story
The Satil wreck, formerly the Israeli naval missile boat INS Sufa, sits upright on a sand bed parallel to the shore in the northern Gulf of Aqaba. Scuttled deliberately as an artificial reef, the intact vessel allows straightforward navigation around its bridge, deck guns, and missile launchers. Soft corals and sponges colonize the exterior. Upper superstructure swim-throughs remain accessible, though tighter internal passageways demand formal wreck-penetration training.
