Dive-site story
Located north of Hurghada near the southern reaches of the Strait of Gubal, Umm Usk centers around a horseshoe-shaped island and fringing reef system. The site offers a protected inner lagoon surrounded by hard coral formations, while the outer walls and sandy slopes feature coral blocks and pinnacles. Resident pods of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins frequently cruise through the shallows, making it a popular anchorage for safari vessels and daily dive boats.
