Dive-site story
The Boreas is a former German naval tug built during the Second World War that was purposely scuttled off the coast of Palamós in 1989 to create an artificial reef. The steel wreck rests fully upright on a seabed of coarse sand and gravel, retaining much of its structural profile from the stern propeller up through the wheelhouse. Divers can explore exterior decks colonized by encrusting sponges and hydroids or inspect open compartments with proper training and equipment.
