Dive-site story
Carall Bernat sits at the southeastern tip of the Medes Islands Marine Reserve off L'Estartit. The site centers around a steep, isolated rock spire that plunges into deep waters, forming rocky tongues and deep vertical drop-offs covered in red gorgonians. Strict protection since the 1980s has made this spot famous for uncommonly bold dusky groupers and large schools of open-water fish.
