Dive-site story
Located off the coast of L'Estartit in the Medes Islands Marine Reserve, El Dofí centers around a series of cavernous swim-throughs and a submerged bronze statue of a dolphin. Light streams through overhead openings in the limestone tunnels, illuminating rocky chambers covered in encrusting sponges and bryozoans. The strict protection of the marine park allows territorial fish to show little fear of divers as they cruise along the boulder-strewn slopes.
