Dive-site story
Situated along the southwest coast of Tenerife near the Marazul resort, El Balito features a volcanic seabed defined by basalt channels, rocky ridges, and open sand flats. Divers enter either from the old concrete slipway in the cove or via short boat trips from nearby harbors. As you navigate out of the sheltered bay, the underwater terrain drops along lava reefs where morays and octopuses shelter in deep cracks, while stingrays rest partially buried in the surrounding sand.
