Dive-site story
El Emisario is an artificial reef dive centered around an outfall pipeline extending from the coast of southern Lanzarote. The concrete and metal pipe structure provides solid anchor points for invertebrates, attracting small benthic species and larger marine predators into what would otherwise be open volcanic sand. Divers follow the conduit outwards as the seabed gradually shelves into Atlantic blue water.
