Dive-site story
Illes Formigues consists of an exposed cluster of rocky islets located off the coast between Palafrugell and Palamós. Underwater, the granite formations plunge down to coralligenous bottoms and sand patches, creating passages, overhangs, and walls covered in red and yellow gorgonian seafans. The site's offshore position attracts pelagic passersby and provides habitat for Mediterranean reef dwellers.
