Dive-site story
Situated along the limestone cliffs of the Montgrí Coast near L'Estartit, this dive centers around a massive sea cavern whose vaulted ceiling gives the site its name. Divers enter through wide arches into spacious chambers lit by shafts of natural light penetrating through fissures overhead. Beyond the cavern mouth, rocky drop-offs and boulders slope seaward, offering classic western Mediterranean marine scenery.
Monumental cavern architecture illuminated by ambient sunlight filtering through ceiling cracks
Interior rock recesses harboring nocturnal species and encrusting organisms
Boulders outside the cave entrance covered in sponges, bryozoans, and hydroids
