Dive-site story
Created by artist Jason deCaires Taylor in the sheltered waters of Las Coloradas bay, Museo Atlantico consists of underwater sculptures arranged across a flat sandy seabed. The pH-neutral concrete figures form several thematic installations, including the Rubicon, a raft carrying refugees, and a human gyre. Over time, these artificial structures have transformed into an artificial reef that draws schooling fish and benthic species looking for shelter.
