Dive-site story
Located off the southwest coast of Tenerife near Los Cristianos, this basaltic cliff site drops down to a volcanic cave entrance marked by a shrine dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen. The sandy seabed outside the cavern attracts several species of rays, while the crevices along the wall harbor dense clusters of morays. Because the interior contains extensive silt and reaches substantial depths with a tragic history of lost divers, recreational visits are strictly restricted to the cavern threshold and the surrounding reef wall.
