Dive-site story
The SS Coila is a historic British cargo steamer sunk during the First World War off the coast near Valencia. Resting upright on a soft sandy seabed, the wreck has deteriorated into an artificial reef where substantial sections of the hull, engine machinery, and scattered boiler structures remain intact. Due to its position offshore, the vessel attracts pelagic visitors along with resident bottom dwellers sheltering in the dark recesses.
