Dive-site story
Situated directly off the southern tip of Fuerteventura near the Morro Jable lighthouse, Veril Grande centers around an abrupt vertical drop-off formed by volcanic shelf rock meeting open ocean sand. Divers drop onto a shallow sandy terrace populated by garden eels before following the shelf edge down along the dark basalt wall. Cavities, ledges, and crevices riddle the stone face, providing shelter for moray eels and resting rays, while open-water predators patrol the blue alongside the drop.
