Dive-site story
La Grande Quairolles is an offshore rocky pinnacle system situated off the coast of Cap Camarat in the Var region. Rising from a seabed carpeted with coralligenous bioherms, the granite formation features dramatic vertical drop-offs, crevices, and overhangs covered in red gorgonians. Because of its exposed position in open water, current can pick up quickly, drawing pelagic hunters while demanding attentive buoyancy control during descent and ascent.
Extensive walls coated with vibrant red and yellow gorgonian sea fans
Frequent encounters with mature dusky groupers resting along rocky ledges
Schools of barracuda circling above the main summit in open water
