Dive-site story
Lac des Ciments, situated in Beaumont-sur-Oise, is a flooded former chalk quarry turned dedicated inland diving facility managed by the French diving federation. The quarry basin features chalk cliffs, submerged training platforms, and remnants of its industrial past. Because the lake is fed by groundwater permeating through limestone, water clarity often exceeds typical regional lakes, although pronounced thermoclines develop throughout the warmer months.
