Dive-site story
The Togo is one of the Mediterranean's most celebrated deep shipwrecks, resting upright on a sandy seabed in the Bay of Cavalaire. Sunk by a sea mine in the final year of World War I, this former cargo steamer split into two main sections. The stern section sits fully intact with its massive steam engine, auxiliary machinery, and bronze propeller still visible, while dense clusters of sea fans drape the steel superstructure.

Dense walls of purple and yellow sea fans encrusting the iron hull
