Dive-site story
Located along the eastern shore of Loch Long, the A-Frames dive site centers on submerged steel structures and historical industrial debris resting on a steep silt slope. Divers enter from the rocky roadside verge and follow the descending seabed toward the distinctive lattice frames, which serve as an artificial reef encrusted with dense invertebrate life. Because the sea loch is sheltered from open ocean swells, the site remains divable throughout most of the year, though buoyancy control is essential to avoid disturbing the fine sediment.
Submerged structural A-frames heavily colonized by sea anemones and sponges
Expansive silt bed hosting benthic marine life like burrowing anemones and squat lobsters
Straightforward shore entry accessible directly from the lochside road
