Dive-site story
Browns Bay is a sheltered coastal inlet positioned along the North East coast between Cullercoats and Whitley Bay. The seabed features gently sloping bedrock and sandstone gullies filled with thick kelp forests before opening out into coarse sand. Local clubs frequently use this shore site for initial training and macro photography, particularly when high tide brings clearer North Sea water into the cove.
