Dive-site story
Castle Beach sits along the seafront in Falmouth beneath Pendennis Castle, serving as one of Cornwall's most accessible shore dives. The seabed features shallow rocky reefs dissected by sandy gullies and thick kelp forests. Divers can also locate scattered, heavily encrusted wreckage from several World War I German U-boats that were grounded and dismantled here after the war.
Remnants of historic World War I submarine hulls scattered among rocky reefs
Dense kelp gullies sheltering pipefish, cuttlefish, and diverse crustaceans
Easy shore entry via the concrete slipway and beach steps
