Dive sites in Gibraltar

Situated along the southwestern coastline of Gibraltar, Rosia Bay serves as a primary shore dive known for historic naval ties and sheltered topography. Entry is managed from the concrete slipway or steps into a shallow rocky basin that slopes into mixed sand, scattered boulders, and seagrass beds. The convergence of Atlantic and Mediterranean waters supports diverse marine life, making it a regular hub for refresher dives, training courses, and macro photography.

Resting on a sandy seabed off Gibraltar's western coast, the Spanish Barges form an established artificial reef. Deliberately scuttled to encourage local marine life, the metal structures have accumulated dense colonies of orange cup corals and sponges. Divers navigate open cargo compartments and inspect recesses where benthic species shelter alongside the rusting steel frames.
