Dive-site story
The M/V Giannoula K. is a Dutch-built cargo vessel that foundered in the early 1980s off the coast of Plimmiri on Rhodes' southeastern shoreline. Sitting upright on an open sand bed, the intact hull and accessible superstructure make it one of the premier wreck dives in the Dodecanese archipelago. Sunlight penetrates down through the open cargo holds, illuminating schools of fish and resident predators that shelter within the metal ribs.
