Dive-site story
Located at the eastern edge of Plakias Bay in southern Crete, Paligremnos is defined by a colossal sheer limestone cliff that plunges straight into the Libyan Sea. Underwater, this geological fault extends downwards, creating vertical wall profiles flanked by large fallen boulders and sandy patches. Divers encounter typical south-Aegean marine species tucked into fissures, crevices, and small undercuts along the cliff base.
