Dive sites in Hong Kong

Little Palm Beach, known locally as Siu Tsung Lam, is one of Hong Kong's primary shore-diving hubs located along the Clear Water Bay peninsula. Divers enter from the rocky beach and follow a gentle slope transitioning from shallow rubble and scattered hard coral heads into sandy patches. The site serves as a dependable training ground and a productive macro hunting spot, protected from heavy oceanic swells under typical seasonal wind patterns.

Located off the High Island Reservoir East Dam in Sai Kung, this site is defined by the massive interlocking concrete dolosse that form the outer breakwater. Descending along the artificial structure reveals an intricate maze of underwater gaps and recesses where juvenile fish take shelter, gradually giving way to mixed rocky patches and sandy seabed. Water clarity fluctuates significantly with the seasons, making calm summer days the prime window for exploring the perimeter.

Firestone Island, known locally as Fo Shek Chau, features dramatic volcanic columnar basalt that plunges below the surface into rocky slopes, gullies, and scattered boulder fields. Situated in the outer Ung Kong Group of Sai Kung, this exposed marine site offers healthier coral coverage than inshore bays, with macro life sheltering in rock crevices and sandy pockets between reefs.
