Dive-site story
Resting on the seabed off the southern coast of Vis, this World War II American B-24 Liberator heavy bomber is among the best preserved aircraft wrecks in the Mediterranean. The airframe lies largely intact on an open sand floor, featuring clearly identifiable engines, propellers, cockpit framing, and wing sections. Divers descending along the shot line are greeted by the striking silhouette of the vintage warbird emerging from the blue Adriatic depths.
