Dive-site story
Set along the coastline of Gili Trawangan, this artificial reef project uses low-voltage electrical currents passed through steel wireframes to accelerate mineral accretion and coral growth. Divers can explore dozens of diverse metal structures, ranging from domes and pyramids to whimsical shapes, all colonised by hard and soft corals. The shallow sandy seabed surrounding the installations provides an accessible training ground and a reliable nursery habitat for juvenile reef fish.
