Dive-site story
Situated between Gili Lawa Laut and Gili Lawa Darat in northern Komodo National Park, Cauldron—often called Shotgun—is an action-packed channel drift dive. Tidal flows push water through a sunken basin surrounded by coral ridges before accelerating over a shallow reef shelf. Divers drop in to observe schooling predators circling inside the bowl, then catch the intensifying surge that propels them swiftly across the channel.
