Dive-site story
Situated along Bali's northeastern coastline in the Kubu district, Gerombong features a sloping black volcanic sand bottom interspersed with healthy coral bommies and sprawling sponge formations. The site is less frequented than nearby Tulamben, offering relaxed conditions suited for both macro photography and reef fish encounters. Divers drift along the reef slope to find gorgonians, barrel sponges, and coral patches that shelter a high diversity of invertebrates.
