Dive-site story
Mioskon is an islet in the Dampier Strait surrounded by a gentle coral slope that transitions into scattered bommies on a sandy floor. Renowned among photographers, the reef features an exceptional concentration of tasseled wobbegong sharks resting beneath table corals and inside rocky overhangs. Massive aggregations of yellowtail snappers and sweetlips hover in the current off the northern and eastern points, while the gorgonian sea fans on the bommies conceal tiny pygmy seahorses.
