The Papa Theo is a scuttled cargo freighter sitting upright on a flat sand floor off the Thousand Islands archipelago. Encrusted in encrusting sponges and dense patches of wire corals, the steel structure provides an artificial reef habitat that stands out sharply against the surrounding silt plains. Divers can inspect the exposed hull frames, open cargo holds, and the stern deck machinery while tracking resident schools of predatory and shelter-seeking reef fish.
