Dive-site story
Located in a sheltered bay within Komodo National Park, Siaba Besar is widely celebrated for its dense population of sea turtles and exceptionally calm conditions. The topography consists of a shallow sandy plateau transitioning into sloping coral gardens and fields of staghorn coral. Divers glide over beds of hard corals and sandy patches where turtles feed and rest undisturbed. Because the bay is naturally protected from the fierce tidal currents typical of the northern and southern channels, it serves as a relaxing drift or stationary dive and an ideal location for relaxed macro searching.
