Situated off the Maharee Islands along the Brandon Bay coast of County Kerry, Pollack Alley centers on a series of rugged Atlantic gullies cut into bedrock. Kelp forests crown the higher ridges, while the deeper channels shelter dense schools of gadoid fish that cruise between rocky walls.

Portroe Dive Quarry is a flooded slate quarry in County Tipperary that serves as Ireland's premier inland training and recreation center. Sheer rock faces drop down to submerged slate working platforms, underwater training grids, and various sunken attractions including cars, boats, and a submerged van. The sheltered nature of the quarry allows year-round diving when sea conditions on the coast are unworkable.

Sandycove Beach is a sheltered coastal inlet situated on the southern curve of Dublin Bay. Frequented by local dive clubs for training sessions and night dives, the site features a gradual sandy bottom flanked by kelp-covered rocky ledges. Curious grey and harbour seals often accompany divers as they navigate the shallow weed beds and rocky outcrops toward the outer point.

The seabed shifts between fine sand, mixed gravel, and dense kelp forests bordering rocky outcrops.
