Dive-site story
Banco di Santa Croce rises from a deep seabed in the Gulf of Naples off Vico Equense. Nutrient-carrying currents wash over the submerged pinnacle system, feeding red gorgonians along the rocky drop-offs and rare golden false black coral in sheltered crevices. Pelagic predators hunt through the open water of this southern Italian marine reserve.
